Hustle.Believe.Receive. Motivation & Inspiration Vision Boards

Does Hustle Believe Receive Work? Yup.

Paris #HustleBelieveReceive

This is gonna sound crazy.  But I think the number one reason I’ve not been blogging much lately is because….. I didn’t know quite how to say, I’m happy.  Crazy right?  But not only that, I feel really blessed because it feels like every day I’m getting more and more of that abundant life I’ve had on my Future Boards for so many years, and how do you say that without sounding…. shallow? Or arrogant?

So I’ve been kinda quiet. I’ve been quietly enjoying more manifestations than ever before, and a greater sense of accomplishment and joy in more of the experience I’ve been dreaming and working for.  But then tonight I thought, what the hell Sarah? You’re not afraid to say all the shit that goes wrong in your life, why be afraid to share the good stuff?  Plus it’s just more proof that this really does work!

So if you’ve never heard of the Law of Attraction (maybe you’re a new reader) or if you’re struggling with the concept and want to know if it works… I’m happy to say yet again, that YES IT DOES!

Case in point #1:
I’ve had a picture of Disneyland on my vision board for five years.  And for at least that long I’ve been promising my son that I’d take him.  Well that promise started a long time ago when my twins where too young to go, but now they are five and fully aware of what Disneyland is, and were not to happy to learn that Kanen and I had been planning on making the trip one day.  So I decided to look on Alaska Air and see if I’d earned enough miles this last year flying back and forth to see my friend in DC (splitting tickets) to take the kids to Disneyland.  I knew it was a stretch as I’d only accumulated 45,00 miles… I searched all day New Years day, and by the end of the night had found four tickets worth my 45,000 miles!! Yep, I got all four plane tickets (about a $1,600 value) for under $100 total. I ran into the kids room told them “we are going to Disneyland!”

Manifesting vacations #FutureBoard
In Feb of 2013 I was able to take all 4 of us to Disneyland!

Case #2.
I’ve had a picture of a Gucci bag on my original vision board that hangs above my fireplace for five years.  And then last year I pinned this exact same bag to my Pinterest vision board. This Christmas, under the tree was not only the first Christmas gift I’ve gotten in years it was a newer version of that Gucci bag from my best friend.  I couldn’t believe it!

Case #3.
I’ve struggled the past four years (or most of my life) financially trying to get on my feet.  To “get caught up”.  I’ve always lived paycheck to paycheck regardless of the title of my job.  It’s just always felt like the odds where stacked against me when it came to really making enough money to live off of.  It took almost a year on my current job to start making commissions for the deals I closed (just the normal sales cycle), but now that patience is finally paying off, and I’m for the first time ever, getting comfortable.

I stopped worrying about money several years ago, even when times got really tough.  I just literally refused to stress about it, think about it or dwell on it. I’d let it consume my thoughts for so long in a negative way that I knew I had to just let that go. It took a while, and I had to actively retrain my brain, but I got there.  I went about working hard, and in my head was living the life and lifestyle I wanted. It meant that I had to get creative sometimes, finding ways to have the experiences without money being an issue (most of the time manifestations just came and it wasn’t an issue either way).

But about six months ago I realized I was missing a component to that belief.  I was manifesting these amazing experiences but still struggling to pay the bills, and had nothing left over for “living”.  My long standing belief was that I’d always “find a way” and that we’d “always be OK”… I’d trained my brain from “I can’t pay the bills there is never enough (and there never was and I couldn’t pay them).  To “I will find a way and everything will be OK” (and some how it was enough and we were making it).  But I still wasn’t comfortable or free.  I was still bound by a lack of financial resources.   When I realized this, I began to analyze what I really wanted, was it to simply survive? Or was it to find freedom and success? Long term I wanted more than survival.  I wanted the flexibility and stability of knowing I can live the life I want and maybe money does need to be part of that equation.   To say I wanted “money” along with the experiences, felt selfish and wrong at first.  But I made a new mantra and said it everyday (“I am happy, I am blessed, I’m beautiful and I have MORE than enough for me and my family”).  Once I made that mental shift things began to change quickly. I made a promise to my son that’s we’d never “run out of money” again, and that was just the start.   Since then my income has doubled at work, I’ve been taking on more Life Coaching clients and as a result, I’ve been able to payoff all my debts.  Finally been able clean up credit issues remaining from my divorce, plan this vacation, have a great Christmas for my kids, and even bought my first pair of designer shoes this week.

This blog is proof ,in real time, that you can live the life you desire without money.  Almost everything I’ve manifested has been at no financial cost to me.. and THAT should be the most exciting thing you get from reading my blog!  Especially if you’re financially where I started out.  I have many posts that teach you how to overcome money as an obstacle in your life.  However, I’ve realized that I’m now at a new phase of this journey, one where it’s time to dream bigger and expand my expectations. This has always been the case as I’ve grown the past few years, getting to that place where you need to readjust what your expectations are, need to think bigger.   Now I’m ready to go for it ALL.  Not put limits on what I’m “allowed” to expect.

These are all firsts for me. Ever in my whole life.

Sarah Centrella #shoes
My first splurge, first ever new designer shoes and first purchase at Niemen’s

I’m not suggesting in any way that this magically happened over night.  I’m saying that I’ve been working hard the last year at my job, even in a place I don’t like living, and dealt with a lot of difficulty this past year. But I pushed through it rather than give up, and now a year later am seeing the results of that work, dedication, vision and faith. You must have all these components to get results.

Case #4.
I remember watching The Secret movie years ago and one of the speakers said something like, they used to live paycheck to paycheck and all they ever got in the mail was bills. Then one day all they started getting was checks. I was like “yeah right!” That always pissed me off for some reason (maybe because they forgot to mention the years of WORK that happen between point A and point B) but today that actually happened to me.  I checked my bank and was surprised to see a deposit of $177.00 I looked and it was for AdSense from Google, something I’ve never really paid attention to and had forgotten about after setting it up.  I’d never looked to see if anything had been accumulating, nothing. It just showed up.

Abundance is a concept I have never thought I had a right to… all my life. I knew I deserved “the good life” but I thought I’d always be struggling and fighting for it, the concept of achieving freedom never really accrued to me.  Now I’m not saying I’m even close to that, and surely AdSense wont ever get me there, but in general I know now I’m on that path.  I’ve struggled enough to know how to manage success when it comes and I’m wise enough to realize I have worked hard and deserve the rewards.  I know I can survive anything, should it be gone tomorrow I’ll be just fine, I always am….. but maybe I should stop living as if that’s always going to happen and start living as if I’m going to forever change that destiny.

Case #5:
This Louis Vuitton bag has been on my vision board for years, and is a discontinued style. One day at brunch my girlfriend told me that her sister had a designer handbag consignment business.  She pulled up the site and there was the exact bag that was on my board for half the retail price. I’d just earned my biggest commission check ever, and was able to for the first time buy something like that for myself. I can’t tell you how amazing that felt!!

manifesting your dreams #HBRMethod
The EXACT bag that is on my vision board!

This feels so good…. I can’t lie. I want this for you… if you’re struggling and are where I’ve been and need help braking that cycle and getting after your dream life, write me/comment/ FB me whatever…. I’ll help you get there anyway that I can. But all my examples and tips are here on this blog. If I did it, you can to!

My Stories

Writers Block.

writers blog #HustleBelieveReceive
Totally need to get back to this!

So you might have noticed that I’m suffering from a bit of writers block, either that or just have too much stuff going on at the moment to keep up.  But regardless it’s been too long since I’ve made a daily practice of writing, on my blog but also with my book.

I spent all last year writing and rewriting my memoir.  Each time I got a rejection letter from a prospective publisher, I took their criticism to heart and changed my book.  In some cases adding more of my story, in others taking chunks out, until the concept, flow and tone of it had completely changed.  I know it’s common to work on a book for years, constantly doing rewrites, but this process has left me pretty emotionally spent.  And for the past few months I’ve intentionally avoided pulling out my book, reading it again and then deciding what direction to take it.

Some goals seem too big sometimes.  You know what I mean?  Like 99% of the time they are clear and the vision is seared in your mind, and you hustle toward it every day… and then there’s that 1% when you think; shit… I’m trying to do THAT? It just feels too big to take on.  You feel lost inside the dream.  I hate this feeling.  Hate it with a passion. It’s like floating in a stagnant pond when you know full well you set out to go white-water rafting.  You feel so disappointed in your own cop-out.  In your own lack of courage to paddle back out into the current and once again get soaked by the ride.  That’s where I’m at, laying on my raft, looking at the crazy ride and summoning the courage to get back on it.

I know when I do it will all come back to me.  The vision, the voice, the words.  The writers block will be lifted.  But right now, I’m taking a rest from the emotionally draining process it’s been so far.  I’m digesting. In my heart of hearts, in the deepest part of my being, I KNOW it’s going to be a best seller when I’m finally done, whenever that might be.  That keeps me pushing forward because I know it will move and inspire people.  I know that after reading it, there’s no way that you wouldn’t be convinced that anything is possible.  That’s what keeps me going.  And that’s what made me open it back up again tonight, and break my months long standoff, and begin to write once more.

Relentless pursuit.

What’s your BIG dream?

Dating Relationships

Keep It Movin’

keep it movin
Keep it movin’.

I feel like I’m turning over a new leaf.  Like I’m finally ready to address the areas of my life that I’ve been putting off because I knew the work required to get them right, would be heavy.  Think I’m finally ready to cut the cord of co-dependency that I’ve had attached to far too many people in my life, who in reality, bring no value to it. Time to keep it movin’.

I’ve had a few major epiphanies lately.  One is a tough one, the biggest sore spot in my personal journey…. my relationship with men and dating.  It’s been… I’ll be brutally honest here… a train wreck. I’ve now been divorced/separated going on four years, and what I’ve realized is that on some level I really, truly want to remain independent.  I don’t want a man.  I don’t want to rely on anyone.  Don’t want to ever find myself in a situation where I’ve just totally been fucked over.  I think I subconsciously want to raise my kids my way, on my own.

That of course is NOT at all what I THOUGHT I wanted.  I thought I wanted to get married again, and rebuild the type of family unit I was used to.  Four years later that’s not happened.  Not that there have not been several close calls. But as I look back on my failed relationships I realized that I subconsciously picked men who I knew I could never have a future with.  Picked men who reinforced the belief system I had about them in general.  And as the Law of Attraction does, it delivered to me the physical equivalent of that belief system.  It brought me men I couldn’t have a future with and ones that I knew from the start, would ultimately fail. And (shocker) they did.

But it’s just been lately that I’ve realized the underlying reasons, and really taken a look at how those belief systems have been blocking me from getting what I do ultimately want.  They are so deeply embedded in my subconscious that they prevent me from giving anyone a legitimate chance.  And they block me from drawing into my life a man who could actually be a perfect addition to my family.

So I’ve decided it’s time to rewrite those belief systems.  Digging deeper than I ever have before.  The surface stuff (writing lists of what I want etc) have not gone far enough into breaking down my underlying negative beliefs.  I’ve recognized for a while now that I was drawing repeat scenarios into my dating life that were, all bad.  I’ve been able to see it, but wasn’t sure how to correct it.  Now I know. Now I need to really ask myself if I’d ever be willing to share my family with anyone else? If I’d ever really want to jointly make decisions again? If that life is even right for me anymore?  I think until I answer that, then I wont ever be able to draw the right relationship into my life.

walk away images
Time to walk away.

So I’ve decided to cut the dead weight.  I’ve looked at the people I know and interact with, and put them into two categories: 1. Put equal effort into our relationship/friendship OR 2. They suck the life out of me.  And if they fall in group two… I’m done. I’m done throwing good energy after bad.  Done letting people that don’t bring value to my life, or care about me in the same way I do them… take my attention away.

It’s a new year.  I want it to be my best year ever. I want to live a happy, simple, positive, healthy life.  I’m willing to finally make those adjustments and changes to insure that happens.  It feels great. Honestly it does. I’ve been working out everyday, eating right, so my physical self feels better than I have in years.  Now it’s time to get the rest of my life feeling lighter and healthy too.

Finding peace and happiness within myself, and not looking for it externally is the plan for 2013.  Working on a better me.  From now on I’m in a relationship... with myself.

New Year, New You?

Barre 3 Studio… I’m addicted

I’ve been getting a ton of letters and emails/messages lately from people who want help getting motivated and inspired to lose weight and get fit for the new year.  Now is as the perfect time to make big changes to your life and fix all the elements that you don’t like.  For many of us our physical appearance, how we feel about ourselves, and our energy are all connected to our weight and or lack of exercise.

If you know me, or much about my story, you know that I’ve always battled weight and self confidence my whole life.  When I discovered the #HBRMethod, and after my ex-husband left I lost about forty pounds that first year. I’ve used it to keep the weight off for three years, but the last six months living in Seattle, I could tell that I wasn’t feeling like myself.  The weather, along with other parts of my life, had left me feeling stagnant, which was affecting my energy and desire to make the time and dedication to workout.

Well, the thing I love the most about the LOA is that it’s taught me how to really live in the present moment.  It’s taught me not just to be aware of my life on a larger scale, but also my daily attitude and thoughts.  It’s also given me the skill set to adjust both, when I feel myself slipping back into old negative patterns.

So with the dawn of 2013 came a renewed promise to keep my goals clear, and my head in the right space to propel myself to the next level in this new year.  And a big part of that, was finding a workout routine that would work in my crazy life.  I also needed one that I’d get results from quickly, that would get me back on track, and feeling fabulous! So when I met a new friend who’s passion for The Barre Method workout was irresistible, I took her up on the offer to take me to my first Barre 3 class.  Mostly because she said with such unwavering conviction; “this will be the first day of your new life, and I want to be able to say I was there when it happened”.  With such a powerful endorsement for what this class was going to do for me, how could I say no? I believe we draw into our lives what we need most, right when we need it the very most.  And lord knows, I needed something!

So we went to class.  I dreaded every second.  I was far and away, the largest women in there, I doubt anyone weighted over 125 lbs in the class but me! But I didn’t care. I was there, committed to giving it my all, and anxious to see if it could deliver on it’s promise to make me feel amazing.  Well, six classes later I can attest that, yes in fact I do feel AMAZING! I’m full of renewed energy, positive outlook for the new year, tighter body and a much fitter mind. It’s exactly what I needed.

Add me as a friend and I’ll personally encourage your progress!

The other thing I’ve committed to is tracking my progress on the app My Fitness Pal (available on the app store for most smart phones I think, for free).  It’s an easy way to track your daily food and exercise in a way that is motivating beyond belief!!

So here’s what I’m challenging each of you on for this new year.… I just put myself out there in a rather humiliating way, so now it’s your turn! Download the app, find me on it (skcent is my screen name) and I will personally encourage your daily progress, and together we will make 2013 our fittest and best year yet! The app is free, and you can do any type of exercise/eating plan you like, it’s simple. Awareness and accountability is what it and I am offering, to be your personal encouragement coaches!

If you are ready to make this your best year yet, and if fitness is part of your goal, then lets go!!!

So true.

If you have other things you want to improve on this year and need help or suggestions on how to accomplish those goals then feel free to email me, I’d be happy to help

UPDATE: Jan 26th, 2013

So it’s now three weeks into the “new me” and I gotta give myself props for sticking to it better than I ever have before.  I’m LOVING Barre3 class, and have been going 4-5 days a week when I can fit it in my busy schedule.  I’ve noticed a massive transformation in my body already. I’m even getting a six pack abs!! Something I thought only surgery would give me after my twins.  I’ve also been sticking religiously to the 1,200 calories a day and have lost 5 lbs so far, but again my body looks totally different from this class.  And best of all I’m feeling amazing, more energy and much more like my old self! Getting my grove back 🙂

If you haven’t yet, add me on the app. It’s such an amazing fun and easy way to stick to your plan.  Let’s gooooooooo

Happy New Year! Make a Life Plan for 2013.

Happy 2013~!~~

Tonight is New Years Eve, it’s the perfect day of the
year to map out what you want your life to look like. Instead of making
resolutions (which often focus on what NOT to do), make a life plan.

Tonight write you 2013 Life Plan:
1. Sit down and imagine (without limits) what
you want to accomplish in 2013.  What you
want your life to look like at this time next year. List it all out, everything
you can think of, in each category of your life (physical, career, personal, financial).
2. Then spend some time on each item, really imagining what that
moment will feel like when it comes into your life.

 3.  Make a vision board to reflect your list.  Put it up where you can see it every day.

4.  Vow to use the tools you are learning
(and can find on my blog) to put into practice this new life. Do the work every
In a year from now, I can promise you that you will have a more
fulfilled life.  One that is grounded in
gratitude, awareness, hope and moments that surprise and amaze you.
Here’s to creating the your best year to date… let’s make 2013 EPIC!
Side Note:

Remember; your
current financial state WILL NOT STOP YOU from realizing your dream
life. That’s the biggest
lesson that my life has proven, to not just me, but hopefully to anyone
hears my story. I’ve always been a struggling single mom, but it’s not
held me
back from experiencing a life, and moments that no amount of money could
purchase. That’s a very powerful thing.

So the first step, in realizing your dream life, is
to stop focusing on what you don’t have, and don’t want, and start focusing on what you do want. Put ALL your
energy in that direction. Then do the steps to using the LOA.
Anything is possible!!!

Your Life Coach

How to Get Past the Guilt of Bad Decisions

This post is a response to a reader question, on how to get past the guilt of past bad decisions.

We can’t change the past. So the guilt that you are carrying, from the mistakes that you made in the past, can block you from getting what you want in the future. You must let that go. The past is the past. HOWEVER, you can and MUST learn from it, and not repeat those same mistakes. Take everything in your life, good and bad, as a learning experience.

Here’s how I do it: Break it down and see where you went wrong. Retrace your steps so you can clearly see the warning signs that were there (they always are) but that you previously ignored. Look closely at each stage in that decision-making process and ask yourself the tough questions.  Why did you make choice A which lead to B?… etc.  What were the red flags that you turned a blind eye to?  Doing this will help you be more aware moving forward and keep you from repeating the same mistakes in the future. It will also teach you how to listen to your inner guiding voice (your gut) that is present to help guide you in the right direction.

Your gut is the most powerful guiding force you have, and many of us have so silenced it that we don’t recognize when we are going against it. Take the time to pay attention to it, in my case it’s almost never wrong. If you listen to it, it will prevent those same mistakes in the future.

In other words, use those mistakes to make you a better person. Don’t beat yourself up over them, just change the behavior that lead to you making them in the first place. Vow to do better moving forward. As Maya Angelo says; “when you know better,
you DO better
