The Law of Attraction: vs The HBR Method

Kim Kardashian

So I’ve realized lately that my definition of the Law of Attraction or at least my view of it, is somewhat different than the others you will find larking on the web. If you Google the phrase you will get a ton of sites claiming to give you instant wealth and riches and stating that your dreams will come true in a few days with their “simple formula” and purchase of their amazing e-book or online program. I have a difficult time with these.

However there are some thought leaders who I believe are amazing and have helped shape my views and ideas around this topic.  One is Louise Hay the “mother of positive thinking” as Oprah calls her. Her book You can Heal your life is an amazing read for anyone trying to get their mind in the right space and realize the power they have over their life. Another book that impacted me is A New Earth by Ekhart Tolle who helps you realize and become aware of being present in the moment and removing labels form your life, allowing you to find a deeper purpose and meaning.
But there are many others out there that I think try to take advantage of people who genuinely want to better their lives. They promise easy wealth, and this I find the most annoying claim of all.  Now my theory has it’s haters, trust me.  But most of them are people who came to The Secret or the Law of Attraction to get rich quick and they don’t want to hear that it might actually take some work as well.  I hope that works for them, honestly I do.  But for me it’s so much deeper then all that surface stuff.  It’s about changing the PERSON you ARE. About changing your belief system, and your mindset and consequently your entire life.
That’s pretty powerful.
What is money? You’re probably LOL-ing right now.  But seriously what is it? One of my favorite questions to ask people who seek my advice, and who say their goal is to make a lot of money or a specific dollar figure is; WHY? Why is it important to you? And 9/10 times I get; “Because I will get what I want. I want that amount of money”. ….Peeeooopple!!…money is just PAPER!! It’s what it enables you to do that matters!
So what? You got money! Are you happy? Is your family better off? Do they love you more? Do you feel less alone? And to the bigger question; what did it bring you? If you can’t answer these questions in specific detail, than thank God it “hasn’t worked for you“.  Just sayin’.  You need to be able to get away from money as being the only measure of success, and focus on what it enables you to experience in life.

If you get what I’m saying then we are on the right path.  Let’s say you have a million dollars fall into your lap, and to be real I hope that happens to me, but…it hasn’t yet.  If you have never planned for this, and have no goals/visions of how you will manage this money, and become a Lottery Winning Statistic. They will run a show about your life on E! True Hollywood Story of how having all that money destroyed everything you cared about. That’s what happens when all you asked for is money. You go out and blow it on nothing, people come into your life just to try and take it from you, and in a minute it’s all gone. Your friends are gone, your family hates you, and people wish this on themselves???

Money creates more problems then it solves

That is why I’ve started calling it Hustle.Believe.Receive. or the #HBRMethod  Because I don’t believe in the way the traditional Law of Attraction is taught.  It creates false scene of hope with no plan of action or direction, and people (rightfully so) get discouraged and quit believing in it (if they ever really did in the first place).  They go into it thinking all they need to do is think about money and money will show up. (Note: if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!).

I started this journey choosing to believe that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, AND MONEY IS IRRELEVANT.   I never had money growing up, so money only represented “lack” to me. I’d never know it to produce a surplus or be easy to come by, so day-dreaming about money, made absolutely no sense to me.  I had however always had a vivid imagination about all the things I wanted to do and experience in my life, so that is where I started. I realized that money is OUR limitation that WE impose on our dreams, and I wanted to remove it completely from the equation.  I refused to dwell on it, since all I’d ever known were negative associations.  Instead I began focusing on the experiences, and the quality of life I wanted to create, and began moving positively in that direction.  And that’s when I noticed a dramatic shift in my life, those EXPERIENCES began to fall into my lap, and money was never even part of the equation. (Click the topic label “Manifest That” on the right side of my blog to read a ton of examples of unbelievable experiences I’ve manifested without money).

I know that this concept goes against everything you have been taught about success and money. I get that. We are taught from a young age that you must be “rich” to be successful.  But most people who are extremely wealthy were not born with that wealth. They created it, by applying the same exact simple tools I teach on this blog.  That means they started without it (just like us), but they did not let their circumstances prevent them from creating the life they envisioned.  What is their key to success? They all posses; desire, a dream, the tenacity to never give up, a work ethic unlike anyone around them, and unwavering belief that they would realize their dream.
Did a huge weight fall off your shoulders just now learning this? Because that’s how you should feel. How stressful is it to put up a Future Board and then try to think of how you can get enough money to make all that happen? That is called doubt and fear. It’s not your job to worry about how all the pieces will come together, it’s your job the BELIEVE that it is possible for you, and work like it’s coming any day.
I love hip-hop music because to me it’s a real life example of this happening right before our eyes. Maybe that’s also why I love working with athletes. Both of these groups, along with most successful people, understand these principles.  It’s something that has been innate within them since the moment they first recognized they had a dream. They may not even realize it, but their life is living proof that this theory really does work.
Think about it….
Tim Tebow
Take an athlete for example. When they are a small child they find love and passion in their sport. Then they find a professional athlete to admire. They see that life, they watch them play on TV and they say; “That will be me one day”.  Notice they DON’T say, “I want to do that, or man I wish that was me”, they affirm that it WILL BE them one day.  They don’t stress about it they just know.

Then they hit the gym, they practice, they perfect their craft, they eat right, they take care of their bodies, and study the plays (their Hustle).  All the while in every moment of every day, they are playing the movie in their head of what it will be like to be that athlete living that dream (Visualization).  I call this the relentless pursuit (a phrase, admittedly I am taking from an athlete I’ve worked with who has it tattooed on his arms).  Most athletes I work with NEVER doubted for a moment that they would reach their dream.  It’s a given in their mind (unwavering Belief)

Let me say that again…..Most of these athletes BELIEVED with EVERY fiber of their being that if they worked hard, their dream would come true. They didn’t know exactly when or how it would happen, but they knew if they put in the work, do everything in their power at each stage in the process that it would manifest.  Period, end of story. That’s what you call unwavering faith.  It’s truly amazing and inspiring to think about. They have envisioned it in detail and obsessed over it to the point where it’s as natural as breathing. They anticipate the reality and excitement of living their dream.  Then the day comes. Their dream is realized. They ARE that athlete living that big life with all the components they imagined one day experiencing (fast cars, the big game, fame, beautiful homes, travel etc). Click here to read personal stories of athletes I’ve worked with, that proves this point. What I find so interesting is that the higher you get up that food-chain, the more successful you become, the more money stops being a factor all together.  Someone PAYS THEM to wear shoes (example: NIKE endorsements) they no longer need to go to the mall to buy them. They are GIVEN keys to the most expensive cars on the planet, no down payment required. Many get to a point where they don’t even pay for anything anymore. Drinks, dinners, cars, clothes it’s all given to them. It all just shows up, it’s attracted to them, they expect it, and they receive it.  But they put in the hard work in the beginning to get them to the stage where they are on the receiving end of all that work.
And ladies, if I just lost you with the sports references, what about Kim Kardashian? I know you’ve seen the episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s where a UPS truck rolls up with boxes of Vira Wang dresses, for her to simply have her pick of any dress she wants, and she gets PAID to ware it!!  If there was ever a perfect example of proof this works, this is it.The same can be true for you.  It’s been true for me, I’ve proven it in my own life.  You put in the work on a daily basis, and the success begins to follow.  And the dreams you have, the visions you’ve made for your life begin to manifest.

Hustle.Believe.Receive. KEY’S TO SUCCESS:
This is my core principles for success, that I’ve applied in my own life to achieve amazing results in a very short time. They are simple ,and easy to apply, and with them you can recreate your life. You can literately create a whole new Life Plan.
  • Believe with Unwavering Faith
  • Work hard. Hustle don’t just sit on your ass and expect that if you think pretty/happy thoughts all this will fall in your lap. Get up and move in the direction of your dream!
  • Expect the outcome. There is a great quote from the song My Last with Big Sean and Chris Brown that says; “I’m just doing better then what everybody projected, I KNEW that I’d be here, so if you ask me how I feel, I’ma just tell you it’s everything that I EXPECTED”. I love this.
  • Use Affirmations and Mantra’s to keep you focused and remove the negative thoughts in your head.
  • Visualization is critical.  Create a movie in your head that plays out your Life Plan and Future Board in beautiful details.  Let it inspire you and make you happy. The art of daydreaming.
  • Gratitude is king. Gratitude is the key to success, and the very first step in the process. “In all things be grateful.” You knew your manifestation would come. You prepared for this moment for a long time. Sit back and enjoy every single second of your “Pinch me Moment”.
  • Control your thoughts. Remember whatever you think about, good or bad is what your future will bring. If you think about how broke you are, you will ALWAYS be broke. If you think about how blessed and grateful for what you have in this moment, you will get more to be thankful for. It’s that simple.
That’s it. It’s common sense really. It’s not as complex as everyone makes it out to be. I’m not saying it’s a piece of cake or human nature at first, it does take work, but it’s not long after you start this journey that it does become part of who you are.
Be patient and never give up, results will follow.

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, AND MONEY IS IRRELEVANT.This sentence make me think so much . That´s really true but I´ve learnt: if you want something you have to work hard. If you want something you have to work hard for the money. It´s so difficult to change the way of our thoughts but it´s really amazing think there´s another way. Thanks

  10. Hi Ada, once you let go of the idea that you have to “work hard for money to get what you want” you will feel a huge sense of relief and the world will open up to you. It’s the way we have been conditioned but it’s really NOT true. If you focus on the experiences you want to have in life, and the QUALITY of life you desire and expect for yourself, then that is what you will get. Move ur mind away from money. Just know that what you focus on expands, so if you worry all the time you wont have enough money then you will never have enough money. If instead you tell yourself, “I will be fine, there will be enough to cover our needs, we will never go without” and then put all your energy on what you DO WANT OUT OF LIFE. then those are the things that will start showing up. and you will notice that money will stop being a factor.

Thank you, you explain it so clear. That´s what I´m working on. I feel really good knowing so many people are doing the same task. I feel really happy when you find support in words someone like you write here. I like to receive the kindness and generosity through those words. This makes me fly every morning no matter what kind of day should come. Sending a big Hug of Light….Blessings
